A clear GP referral pathway

Referring a patient to us is straightforward. We keep the pathway clear so you can spend less time on paperwork and more time with your patient. We treat musculoskeletal pain and injury, post-operative patients, sports injuries and work and motor vehicle injuries, and we communicate back so you stay informed about your patient’s progress.

We report back

After the initial assessment we send a summary of our findings and plan, and we keep you updated at key points.

Do you need a referral?

In most cases, no. Physiotherapists are first-contact practitioners in Australia, so you can book directly with us without seeing your GP first. You only need a referral when you are using a funded pathway such as Medicare, WorkCover or DVA. If you have been told to see a physio, or you are arriving through one of these pathways, we will help you sort out the paperwork so you can get started without the guesswork.

Funded referral pathways we accept

We work with every major funded pathway. Here is what each one needs so you know what to expect before you book.

Specialist relationships. We also work alongside local specialists. Dr Christopher O’Brien, orthopaedic surgeon, refers patients for hip and knee replacement care, and we provide his “Ortho Wise with Rehab Wise” pre-operative education so patients are well prepared for surgery.
